Bloody Mary

Nothing is better in the morning (as a brunch cocktail or hangover cure) or on a cold day than the spicy tomato flavor of a Bloody Mary. You can make it as spicy or mild as you want, using either more or less hot sauce, or substitute the spice of tequila to make a Bloody Maria.
The original was made with vodka, but gin is good, too.
1 oz. gin or vodka (need not be top shelf)
tomato or V8 juice
horseradish
Worcestershire sauce
Tabasco
celery salt (recipe for homemade)
celery sticks
lime wedge
Pour 1 oz. of gin or vodka in a glass filled with ice. Fill the glass the rest of the way with tomato or V8 juice. Add a little horseradish, Worchestershire sauce, dash of Tabasco, and celery salt. Serve with a thin stick of celery to act like a drink stirrer and a wedge of lime.
Another garnish idea is to rim the glass in Homemade Celery Salt.
