Mom's Strawberry Daiquiris
Mom used to have Strawberry Daiquiri parties at the bar when strawberries were in season. She would mix them by the pitcher full. I remember going out to a farm one year to pick the berries with her. The parties were always a lot of fun and her customers looked forward to them. This is her recipe and it is perfect.
There are recipes on the Internet for Blueberry Daiquiris that use the same recipe as below except blueberries in place of strawberries. They are okay, but the strawberry ones are much better.

2 cups ice - use less ice if using frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup rum
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve in stemmed glasses.
Makes 4 drinks
Note: If you decide to use bottled lemon juice, be sure to use a good brand such as RealLemon. Also, you may want to cut back on the ice if using frozen strawberries unless you prefer a very frozen drink - nice in the heat of summer.
1 quart strawberries = 1-1/2 lb. = 4 cups sliced (1/2 inch thick or quartered)
1 pint strawberries = 3/4 lb. = 2 cups sliced (1/2 inch thick or quartered)
