Irish Coffee

sugar cubes (1 - 3 to taste)
piping hot strong coffee
1 jigger (1 1/2 oz.) Irish whiskey (Bushmills or Jameson are good affordable choices)
heavy cream

For each serving: drop 1 - 3 sugar cubes into hot mugs. Fill 3/4 full with very hot strong coffee. Add a jigger of Irish whiskey. Then, holding a teaspoon over the mug, pour on a layer of thick heavy cream. Serve with spoons.
