Milkshakes (see variations below)

Milkshakes are great coolers on a hot summer day and were traditional drinks ordered with hamburgers and fries in the malt shops of the 1950s. I like to drink them when it is too hot to eat. Milk shakes satisfy those hunger cravings while giving you the added bonus of cooling you down.

Base:

1/2 cup milk
2 cups ice cream (3 - 4 scoops)
Flavorings (see list below)
3 Tbsp. malted milk powder, if desired for a malted milk shake
Whipped cream for garnish, if desired

Place milk, ice cream, flavoring and malted milk powder, if using, in a blender and blend until smooth. Top with whipped cream, if desired.

Makes 2 shakes
