Peach Pie Smoothie

FMM: This was pretty good, and quite thick. I used Fage plain yogurt. The peach flavor definitely comes through and the smoothie is milky tasting, sort of like peaches and cream. I used probably 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups peaches. Because they were frozen, they were hard to measure. I did not put the spices in the first time I made it, and used 1 tsp. vanilla and 2 Tbsp. honey, which added plenty of flavor. I tried cinnamon the next time and liked it, although it does mask the peach flavor somewhat. This is a good recipe to use if you do not have orange juice called for in several other recipes. If you would like a thinner smoothie, add some more milk or some ice, which will begin to melt and thin out the consistency somewhat.

1/2 cup nonfat or 1 percent lowfat milk [or 2 1/2 Tbsp dry milk powder mixed in 1 cup water, or oat, almond or other plant-based milk]
1/2 cup nonfat plain yogurt
1 cup unsweetened frozen peaches
1 tablespoon honey, plus more to taste [about 2 Tbsp.]
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon [optional]
Pinch ground nutmeg [optional]
Pinch ground ginger [optional]

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
