Strawberry Butter
from https://www.tasteofhome.com/
Spread this simple and sweet three-ingredient strawberry butter on any toast, muffin or scone for a marvelous upgrade. To create the base of this butter, we puree fresh strawberries before mixing them in.
Strawberry Butter Variations
- Swap the strawberries: Instead of strawberries, try using a different fruit, like blueberries, raspberries or cherries.
- Use a different sweetener: Instead of confectioners’ sugar, blend in honey, agave or dates to sweeten the spread.
- Add herbs: To enhance the aromatic flavor in this spread, add fresh mint or basil.
6 large fresh strawberries, stems removed, room temperature
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 to 1 cup confectioners' sugar
Pulse strawberries in a food processor until chopped. Add butter and 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar; process until blended. Add enough remaining confectioners' sugar to reach a spreading consistency and desired level of sweetness.
