Jane's Ice Cream in a Can

Use a 1 lb coffee can inside a 3 lb coffee can

1 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla, or other flavoring
1/3 cup sugar

Place all ingredients in the 1 lb coffee can and tape it closed. Place it in the 3 lb coffee can. Fill the 3 lb coffee can with 1 cup table or rock salt, then fill with snow or ice around the 1 lb can. Bubble wrap the 3 lb can. Roll the can for 20 to 30 minutes.
