Apple (or Peach) Crisp

Use peaches in place of the apples to make Peach Crisp.
5 cups apples, sliced
1 tsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1 Tbsp. corn starch
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
Spread the apples in an 8" square pan. Mix the corn starch into the water. Sprinkle the apples with the lemon juice, water-corn starch mixture, cinnamon, and salt. Crumble one of the following toppings on top and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. The fruit should be cooked and the topping lightly browned.
Serve warm as is, or add a dollop of whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Also good cold for packed lunch desserts.
