Onion Soup Mix (dry mix)

Ingredients in Liption’s Onion Soup Mix: Dehydrated Onions, Salt, Corn Flour, Hydrolyzed Soy and Wheat Protein, Sugar, Partially Hydrogenated Palm Oil, Caramel Color, Maltodextrin, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium Phosphate, Arabic Gum, Disodium Inosinate and Disodium Guanylate.

Another Ingredient List: Onions*, Salt, Cornstarch, Onion Powder, Sugar, Autolyzed Yeast Extract (Barley), Caramel Color, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Monosodium Glutamate, Corn Syrup*, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Sulfur Dioxide (used to protect quality), *Dehydrated

3/4 cup dried minced onion
1/3 cup beef-flavor instant bouillon (beef bouillon granules), or crushed bouillon cubes (low sodium)
4 teaspoons onion powder
1/4 teaspoon celery seed -- crushed
1/4 teaspoon sugar

Combine all ingredients and store in an airtight container. Use as commercial onion soup mix.

5 Tablespoons = 1 package of onion soup mix.

Note: A 1 3/8 ounce package = 1/4 C instant minced onion + 2 tablespoons bouillon + 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
