Cold Meatloaf Sandwiches

While you could add whatever you wanted to a cold meatloaf sandwich, my favorite is to just add some ketchup. Any type of bread will do, even rye. Many people insist on using white bread (they like the squishy texture) and will add ketchup or mayonnaise. Others like to add raw onion or homemade pickled red onions. Bread and butter pickles also come up in descriptions, as does cheese, lettuce and horseradish or horseradish sauce, in many combinations. There are many other ways people make their meatloaf sandwich on the Internet. I was surprised; I thought bread and ketchup was fairly standard.

Cold meatloaf, sliced
Bread or roll (white bread is traditional, but I like a soft wheat bread)
Ketchup
Bread and butter pickles (optional)
