Liverwurst and Onion Sandwich

One of the most popular ways to make liverwurst sandwiches is with mustard and raw sweet onion on rye bread.

Rye or whole grain wheat bread
Liverwurst, sliced
Sweet onion, sliced very thinly
Mustard

Spread one slice of bread with mustard and place a layer of liverwurst slices on top. Next, layer very thinly sliced sweet onion. Top with the other slice of bread, and cut in two on the diagonal.
