Jane's Sweet-Sour Beets

2 tablespoon butter or margarine
4 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup diced cooked beets.

Melt butter and add vinegar, water, salt, and sugar.
Mix with beets and heat slowly to boiling.
