Beer Battered Vegetables and Dip

This is a popular appetizer in bars and hotels in western New York state. The vegetables usually found is a mix of zucchini sticks, mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, and jalapeno poppers. I have also read on the Internet about some bar using Brussel sprouts. The vegetables are served with a Ranch style dressing for dipping.

To make your own:

Beer Batter
Mix of vegetables, mushrooms and Jalapeno Poppers
Dips for serving: Ranch dressing

I found this recipe for a dipping sauce for beer-batter fried asparagus:

Stir together all ingredients and transfer to a small bowl. Chill, covered, until ready to serve.
