Black or White Russian

A White Russian is basically a Black Russian with milk or cream added. For a Black Russian, omit the milk or cream.

2 oz vodka
1 oz Kahlua

Fill a rocks glass (old fashioned glass) two-thirds full of ice (the drink is served "on the rocks"). Build drink in glass beginning with vodka and then Kahlua. Insert stir straw.

To turn this into a White Russian:

1 ounce Vodka
1 ounce Kahlua
1 ounce half and half.

Build in a rocks glass in the same manner floating cream on top by pouring it slowly over a teaspoon or bar spoon held bottom-side up. Serve with a stir stick. .
