Shaping Samosas
Roll dough into small balls, roll out each portion in a round shape. Cut the round in half to make two semi circles. Put some samosa mix in the center. Lift one corner and fold it over in to a cone shape. Lift the other edge and fold it over the same way to the opposite end. Press slightly to seal the ends.
Some recipes instruct you to form the cone first, then add the filling.
Samosas are traditionally deep-fried, but they could also be baked. Brush the samosa with butter or beaten egg before baking.
Indian samosas are usually vegetarian. It is served hot and is often eaten with fresh Indian chutney, such as mint, coriander or tamarind.
